News Headline WITH FRANCE LINE, BAUDOUIN OPERATES A ROUND TRIP TO ENGLAND
'The Anglo-French market doesn't hold any secret for us. Thanks to its France Line subsidiary, which has been established in Manchester for thirty years, Baudouin transport, which originates in the Niort region, is present on both sides of the channel.

An asset for clients, who profit from a contact in each country, suggests Marie-France Boyer, head of the France Line office. On the English side, we should rather say lady contacts. Owing to the fact that the team in Manchester is 100% female: Jessica, Christelle, Sobia and Marie-France. Four 'unique ladies', aged between 24 and 35, who are French but who has lived in England for years and have no problem switching between French and English. Customs, laws, working habits - everything is different. Being in place here, we can master all the subtleties.

This 'ease of communication' has allowed Baudouin to establish itself on the market in Great Britain, to the extent that they regularly sail on one of Brittany Ferries' vessels. "99% of our trips are effectively made by sea", observes Marie-France Boyer. "Our drivers are so used to it that they know all the crossings, timetables and embarkation procedures for the goods being transported, which results in a considerable amount of time saved."

As specialist shippers of groupage, Baudouin vehicles can ship industrial machines as easily as chimney flues, truckloads or houseplants, chemical products - or even carpet slippers. "We adapt to the market", specifies Alain Bescond, commercial agent. "We are used to it. Baudouin transport has been around since 1957 - over 50 years!".
